I work with purpose-driven organizations to help them tell their story in a way that is clear and compelling to their audiences. Sometimes that means telling an organization's story of impact to the public, while other times it may mean uncovering a company's purpose and DNA to reinvigorate its employee experience. In practice this means lots of research, talking with stakeholders inside and outside of the organization, and working closely with my clients to co-create and iterate on their brand's core concept and story. Organizations I've worked with:- Siegel & Gale: multiple brand strategy projects with clients in the financial services sector.- GOODcorps: communication strategy work with a leading biotechnology firm.- Participant Media: multiple brand strategy and communications projects with leading brands in the technology and entertainment spaces.- Cone Communications: led projects that blended purpose and values with brand strategy and narrative.- LegalZoom: led the process of re envisioning the company's core brand strategy with the C suite.- Microsoft Philanthropies: led strategy and development of new brand platform for Microsoft Philanthropies (a new business unit within Microsoft). Helped guide process from initial strategy through developing narrative concepts and ultimately assisted in crafting a brand video and other creative pieces.- 100Kin10: developed and planned a new core component of the organization's program strategy, helping to advance collaboration and innovation within the STEM education field.- PwC: led discovery into internal culture from associate level to C-suite, and ultimately developed a cohesive brand narrative around the culture of purpose that drives the organization from the inside out.

My primary job at NPR was spearheading a technology innovation project that investigated potential business opportunities, and assessed how NPR might approach entering new markets. I drew upon in-house engineering and business design expertise, while using qualitative and quantitative research methods to conduct a deep dive into promising industries and applications. I also conducted competitive analysis, risk assessment, and led brainstorming sessions. The project culminated in a set of recommendations, an expansive report, and a presentation given to senior leadership, all of which now serve as foundational documents for the next phases of the project.I also served as the Managing Editor for NPR's Intern Edition, an organization-wide collaborative storytelling show. I led over seventy interns in producing more than twenty multimedia story pieces, designing and building a rich website, creating original branding, and outreach through social media channels. We were able to dramatically increase viewership over previous years' shows.
