In an Agile working environment using JIRA to keep up with tasks, I lead software development teams tasked to integrate 3rd party systems with Evolve systems. This includes discussions with business analysts about processes, software specifications, making work assignments to team members, and following up on the progress of such assignments to completion.I develop and support Microsoft SQL databases for websites, web services, APIs, and standalone applications provided by Evolve to its banking and mortgage clients.Consult with business analysts and end users about their work-flow processes, found areas where such could be automated, and develop software to automate them, particularly in data integration with Fannie Mae’s Early Check and Freddie Mac’s LQA applications.Perform ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) functions by extracting select data from multiple databases and combining it into a single database for reporting purposes.Using Microsoft MS Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#.NET, Classic ASP, JavaScript, Web Services, API, JSON, and XML technologies, I develop, test, and deploy software for web applications for Evolve clients.Using MS SQL v18+, I develop, test, and deploy tables, view, stored procedures, and triggers for applications written for Evolve clients.Using Internet Information Services (IIS), I set up and configure websites, web services, and APIs for Evolve.

This was a C2C contractor-consultant role in an Agile environment with hands-on development experience, and involved a variety of duties depending on the specific needs of the Rush Technologies’ customer in question. My duties included installing and configuring Microsoft SQL databases, performing maintenance and backups on them, designing and creating tables and indexes, writing stored procedures to perform various operations, and coding web applications using Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework. The development team consisted of 3 developers and the job offered opportunities to learn new technologies. I often had direct contact with the customer to discuss their specific needs and wants, then design applications to suit them best and leading to cost and time savings for them. For example, one customer used several web applications, one at a time in sequence, to manually synchronized their databases. I wrote stored procedures that automated the entire process on a nightly basis, and resolved several data corruption issues. This saved them a great deal of time, money, and the stress of dealing with dissatisfied customers.

This was a W2 contractor role in an Agile environment with not less than 40 developers working together on several projects at once. Horizon Lines is a maritime shipping company, and my role was mostly one of hands-on stored procedure development on Microsoft SQL Servers 2008 R2 with web application development to provide tools and utilities to users for managing and maintaining data used by the stored procedures. The projects on which I worked provided solutions to automate their billing processes. Working on cross-functional teams, myself and others created a Microsoft SQL database and web application using the Microsoft .NET 3.0 Framework that allowed the company to generate multiple “proposed” invoices internally based on a variety of factors, including historical data, and then select the one that benefited the company the most to send to the customer. The compilation of historical data greatly assisted the account department’s ability to see ways of improving the company’s revenue and bottom line.

This was a W2 contractor role in an Agile environment. I was the sole developer on a project to assist several departments within the company to automate their bidding process and record-keeping. This role involved a great deal of time communicating with the end-users and management about their respective needs and wants. My work helped streamline their quoting processes and gave them better revision control over their estimates to customers. I developed and maintained a Microsoft SQL database having Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), quoting and estimating, and reporting functionality. Previously, they used a decentralized Microsoft Excel process to track and produce this information. The new tool improved their processes by reducing the time it took to generate estimates, order materials to fulfill orders, and track customer information. It also prevent users from overwriting the work of others, as the data was centralized and under revision control.

This was a W2 contractor role in an Agile environment for a specific project to convert their Microsoft SQL 2000 database to a Microsoft SQL 2005 database, ensuring data integrity in the process, and converting their web applications from Classic ASP to the Microsoft .NET 3.0 Framework. Additionally, I developed a new web application that allowed the company to provide the ability for people to apply for insurance online. This new application benefited the company, as it made their insurance-quoting process more uniformed and reducing the telephone call workload on their customer service representatives.

This was a W2 direct-hire role in an Agile environment. My primary role at this company involved developing a new web application in the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework that allowed the company to provide its customers with real-time quotes for their shipping services and then ensure that all shipping charges were billed correctly to the customers. This development involved the use Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) provided by UPS to generate the shipping quotes. Use of this new application helped to improved the company’s revenue, as before its use the company often did not billing customers correctly, or missed billing them entirely, for the use of their shipping services. As a secondary role, I provided ongoing support and improvement of the company’s debit/credit card web-based billing application.

This was a C2C contractor-consultant role in an Agile environment with hands-on development experience. While at Xattaca, I managed all phases of the development and support of database solutions for the company’s customers. My work included upgrading Microsoft SQL 2000 databases to MIcrosoft SQL 2005 databases, DTS and SSIS development for ETL purposes, creating Views and writing of Stored Procedures to remove in-line SQL from web applications, upgrading Classic ASP applications to the Microsoft .NET Framework, and providing general database and web server administration support to customers. One accomplishment was that for one customer, Anchor Technology, I developed and supported a Microsoft SQL database-driven web application that allow the company to manage and track the status of all of their customers work orders through one application in real-time. Before the use of this new application, they kept all of their work order data in separate Microsoft Excel files, one for each of their customer. This often resulted in loss of data due to information not being recorded or users overwriting each others data. The new application improved the efficiency and the productivity of the company by ensuring that the technicians and call center representatives had the most accurate data in real-time.

Working as an employee, I developed and supported various web sites and applications using Classic ASP and Microsoft SQL for such organizations as the State of Arkansas, Brinker International, Tyson Foods, and Stevens.
