Christine Jacobson is a Associate Curator of Modern Books and Manuscripts at Houghton Library. She possess expertise in library public services, aeon, x metal, oxygen xml editor, russian and 23 more skills. She is proficient in Czech and Russian. Colleagues describe her as "Christine did a fantastic job as an intern in the Public Affairs and Political and Economic Sections of the U.S. Embassy to the Kyrgyz Republic. Christine joined the Public Affairs Section at a very busy time, when we were preparing for a conference which brought together over 100 women from all over Central Asia to discuss strategies for economic success. Christine quickly stepped in and took on responsibilities that would normally go to an experienced officer. For example, Christine took the lead on organizing the fleet of Peace Corps and student volunteers who helped with the event and whose logistical support contributed to the success of the conference. The local staff told me that they found Christine to be one of the best interns the section ever hosted. They appreciated her easy going manner and her ability to engage local audiences, such as the youth participating in Embassy sponsored English language camps. Christine also worked in the Political and Economic Section where she demonstrated her strong analytic skills on a number of areas such as writing a cable on the draft law on language policy. In her cable, she did an excellent job of detailing the differing views on the complex and controversial issue. Christine was delightful to work with and will be an asset to any organization."
