About Catherine Elizabeth Koch

I graduated from MIT with a BS in Biology after which I spent a year at Oxford University completing a Master's in Radiation Biology on a Marshall Scholarship. I am currently an MD/PhD candidate at Harvard Medical School in the HST MD program. I completed my PhD work at MIT in the MIT Biology graduate program in Michael Hemann's lab at the Koch Institute. My thesis work broadly focused on cancer genetics, cancer biology, and tumor immunology. I am very passionate about teaching and STEM education and have been involved as a teaching assistant or volunteer for a number of MIT courses and outside groups.
