Current*Lead a 17 member committee in the development of statewide initiatives and promotional campaigns that include television, video, social media, radio and online advertisements. As part of a team, implement national campaigns into local communities.*Built a new communications platform that provides a common identity for existing and new online publications. Develop and write the annual report, legislative agendas, monthly news and program brochures.*Develop and maintain a consumer portal that centralizes information about statewide programs, services and initiatives, facilitating the public’s access to library resources.*Launch and maintain the MBLC’s social media presence and use social media as part of an integrated campaigns.*Develop tool-kits for librarians to support various promotional campaigns, including materials that librarians may customize to meet their local needs. Created the Newsroom website and blog with tools for the library community to use in their efforts to raise local awareness.*Developed workshops and trained librarians across the state on the basics of working with reporters and on building campaigns to gain local support for library projects.*Write news releases and handle all media inquiries.*Create the MBLC’s Legislative Agenda used by the library community to advocate for library services and funding.*Developed a partnership with the Boston Bruins hockey team that supports a statewide summer reading program ( averaging 300,000 participants).*Worked with Massachusetts Office of Refugees and Immigrants to further the MBLC’s goal of better outreach to under-served populations.*Governor’s New Americans Education Policy Group(member): Recommendations from various policy groups were compiled into a statewide proactive immigration plan
