During the eight week internship with Protiviti, I worked on projects in the technology strategy and operations space as well as with IT general SOX control projects. I gained experience using Azure DevOps to create queries and documentation for upcoming releases and to prepare and update upcoming user stories for future sprints. I acted as Project Management support personnel by working through multiple tasks including drafting business cases, release plans, and a budget for the upcoming year. Additionally, assessed IT general controls for SOX compliance for a recently acquired company. I performed risk identification, walkthroughs, and process documentation for multiple applications and processes.

During my eight week internship at headquarters, I was able to work on several different projects using Microsoft's Power BI, SAP BW, and SAP Hana. My main project consisted of me creating a report that would help determine the accuracy and reliability of data that CPChem recently began receiving from the Railroads that estimated the return arrival dates of CPChem's railcars. I presented this to project several employees, supervisors, and the CIO. Along with other reports to monitor the usage of Power BI by employees across the company, I was also able to help organize my teams' SharePoint libraries to create a more intuitive and accessible layout.

During my time with Serna Insurance, now AJ Gallagher, I created excel reports for management, pulled information from carrier websites, and manually renewed and updated policies in company’s database as well as carrier websites. One notable accomplishment was when I was able to temporarily redesign their system for entering New Business Customers with a shareable Google Sheet. I also interacted with customers by calling and texting reminders to customers for cancellations and signatures, as well as mortgage companies and insurance companies to verify customer information and request policy changes.
