Division Chief , Office of Trade and Labor Affairs: 2005 – Retired 2012International Labor Affairs Bureau • Managed total value of $90 million in appropriations to support over 45 international technical assistance projects to improve social safety nets and protect the basic rights of workers; • Supervised team of up to 23 international relations officers with oversight of global projects; • Recruited and mentored numerous young professionals to support existing staff; • Represented the Bureau in various inter-agency working groups;• Advised and reported on policy and technical issues to senior Administration officials;• Assisted in smooth transition for major office reorganization in cooperation with Administration priorities;• Developed and implemented strategic plan for newly established Division of Trade Agreement Administration and Technical Cooperation; • Completed Management Training at the Brookings Institute, Washington, D.C. • Coordinated closely with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Trade Representative, U.S. Agency for International Development, International Labor Organization, Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator, Office of the Director for National Intelligence, among other USG agencies and non-governmental organizations.• Served as the primary intelligence community interface for ILAB, representing ILAB at interdepartmental meetings.
