Celeste has 12 years of experience in the waste sector, both as a municipal project leader and waste management expert and as a consultant. Previous to Urban Earth Consulting, Celeste worked as a waste management project leader and expert at Roslagsvatten AB. A local municipal water and waste management company, owned by the municipalities of Österåker and Vaxholm (amongst others). As a consultant, Celeste works with various types of assignments and projects, as project manager/leader, investigator/supervisor and largely within the municipal waste planning sector. Common projects include the production of tender documents and implementation of the procurement process, but also comprehensive investigations on issues such as the introduction of new collection systems, localization studies, inventories of waste composition and amounts and so on. Further on, Celeste also works with cost and budget analysis, preparation of proposals for new waste tariffs and follow-ups. Celeste has also experience from municipal waste management due to her previous employments at the city of Stockholm and as a waste planner in the municipality of Danderyd, and most recently at Roslagsvatten AB. Through which she has been responsible for the control of recycling and contract monitoring towards entrepreneurs, procurement projects and related investigations for waste collection, waste management planning in residential areas, the introduction of food waste collection, development of regulations for waste disposal, development of long-term waste management strategies, review and development of waste tariffs and operational and contractual follow-up etc.

Ms Ganga Parada holds an M.Sc. in Biology with a specialization in ecology and water treatment and has 6 years of experience within the field of waste management; working with institutional aspects of urban environment and waste management in Sweden. She has been engaged in a broad range of projects addressing issues such as SWM planning, regulatory framework, financing, cost-recovery, organizational set-ups and Private Sector Participation, information and public awareness projects. Moreover, Ms Ganga Parada, previously as waste management supervisor in the municipality of Danderyd, has been responsible for procurement projects and associated studies for waste collection – waste management planning in residential areas, the introduction of source separated and collected food waste; the preparation, implementation and financial closure of different concessions for waste collection and the development of other institutional aspects such as fees, waste management plans etc. She has also been involved in strategic and follow-up studies regarding vehicle fuel in eastern central Sweden, through the EU-funded project Biogasmax. Ms Ganga Parada has also been involved in projects such as the development of a new waste management plan for the municipality of Norrtälje, outside of Stockholm, Sweden. The work includes cooperation between the municipality and a steering committee comprised of local politicians to set strategies and aims for the future handling and treatment of waste within the municipality.
