I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering who has had a year's worth of work experience in my major.I am interested in art, designing, and working with my hands. In December of 2018 I completed an award winning capstone project with 4 other students, where we designed and built a foot operated video game controller for a double-arm amputeeWorking at WSP | Parsons Brinkerhoff, I gained experience working independently and in a team setting in a fast paced environment and meeting deadlines on time. Working on the layout of plumbing and fire protection systems in such large buildings taught me about the process and necessary teamwork that goes into constructing a building. At Spectral Sciences Inc. I was able to strengthen my 3D design skills with Solidworks as well as learn how to use tools in their machine shop. The work done at SSI taught me about a different kind of independence. It taught me how to research more on my own and apply what I learn to future work.
