Key accountabilities for this Chicago based, global voluntary health organization included strategic planning; development; communications, crisis communications; media/public relations; advocacy initiatives; creation and growth of robust, collaborative global programs and initiatives; and meeting planning for national and global patient and physician annual meetings and events. This position demanded strategic forward thinking, planning, growth and implementation of a wide variety of global programs and services. It required leadership and collaboration with a diverse, multi-national group of governing and physician thought leaders, individual and corporate major donors, patients, families, volunteers and governmental officials, as well as the national and international news media.
