A junior at the University of Mississippi who studies broadcast journalism and is working towards becoming a News Anchor at a national station. Currently a News Anchor for the student-run news station, NewsWatch Ole Miss, which is broadcasted across Lafayette County in Mississippi. A part of the Chi Omega sorority: Cardinal Cabinet member as the Homecoming Chair. Involved with the Student Activity Association on the Entertainment committee, the public relations director for Sigma Alpha Lambda honors organization and serves as an ambassador for the School of Journalism and New Media. Competed in the Miss Volunteer America program for the past two years and has placed second and first runner-up to Miss Mississippi and placed second runner-up to Miss Texas. For the past five years, I have been working on my platform, “Chosen. Raising Awareness of Adoption as a Choice”. I am partnered with the nationally known Adoption Network and I have created a social media hashtag, #TheAdoptionSpotlight, where members of the birth family, adopted family, or the adoptee can share their unique stories of adoption.
