In the past, I have taught GED Math and Transitional Math 090 and 091 at Mohave Community College. I am currently teaching MAT 101 and will begin teaching Dual Biology for our high school students.

I taught 5th grade for 12 years. In 2012, I made a switch, and was offered the 8th grade science position at Kingman Academy Middle School. I also coached two FIRST Lego teams for three years,, but then, combined the teams to form one amazing FLL team, the FORCE. I have taught High School Science since 2017, teaching subjects such as Intro to Chemistry and Physics, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Forensic Science and new to me this year, Earth and Space Science, Dual Biology, and Nutrition. I founded the Kingman Academy FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team 14436 in 2017. They have performed extremely well, and qualified for the World Championships in 2022 and 2023. I was also an advisor/mentor for the Kingman FIRST Robotics Team 60, and continue to be an adviser for the Kingman Academy Chapter of the National Honor Society.I also participate in the Arizona Science Teacher Association's Teacher Leadership Program (TLP). Through this program, I receive leadership training, and I mentor a science teacher in Payson, Az.

Currently, I am the high school adviser for the KAHS Robotics club, and a mentor for the Kingman FIRST Robotics Team 60, a community robotics team. Each season, students recruit new members, develop a business plan for the year, solicit community support in the way of donations, give presentations, and promote FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Then, beginning the first week in January, students are given a series of complex engineering problems to solve. They have six weeks to design, build and program a robot to complete these tasks. It is quite an undertaking for them, and is a real life application of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). I am so proud of these kids and honored to be a part of this organization.
