Duties included developed X-Ray films in the radiology dark room (no chemicals - pre-treated film cartridges); X-ray file room-gathered and prepared to transfer radiology files and films, creating new patient files, re-filing returned x-ray films; answering phones; booking patient appointments; kept track of continuously changing schedules (patients and doctors); called for (from records rooms), organized and updated patient files; physically moved patient files to various departments; checked-in patients; customer service, etc. Ever changing daily work assignments meant often in a new department everyday. The ability to be flexible and work well with variety of people including: doctors, receptionists, staff and patients were important skills required for this job.
