About Celeste Peacock
I have been working in Work Health and Safety (WHS) for seven years after graduating from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Management Degree majoring in Human Resources. While I started in a more HR focussed role, I always wanted to focus on WHS, due to is proactive nature and ability to positively impact workers. Currently working at the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, I assist with the management of the Department's Safety Management System, and manage WHS programs, including the Departments EAP, voluntary influenza vaccination program and other aspects of our wellbeing program. My Career objective is to continue working in WHS with a strong focus on its proactive aspects particularly in the wellbeing space focussing on both mental and physical health. Working in such a large Department has given me an understanding of the importance of strong consultation and stakeholder engagement in everything that you do. My strong comunication skills, ability to act quickly on direction as well as using initiative have held me in good stead. I thrive when working autonomously but enjoy being part of a wider team to deliver organisational goals.
