I have more than 20 years of experience in aerospace and space technology and hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Porto. I began my career in research at INEGI, focusing on composite materials and their behaviour in extreme conditions. I have collaborated with international teams and published technical-scientific work in global journals and conferences.In 2012, I became an investor and later COO of HPS Lda (now FHP), where I led the company's rapid growth by developing and delivering high-performance hardware for space missions such as ExoMars 2016 and JUICE. From 2019 to 2022, I established the Space Business Unit at Optimal Structural Solutions, specializing in mechanical hardware for ESA missions. The company delivered or is preparing complex mechanical structures for future Scientific Missions, such as PLATO and FORUM. Most recently, I served as COO of Fibersail, advancing wind turbine blade monitoring technology. During this period, I contributed to the company's organization and preparation to meet specific development and industrialization needs, rapidly expanded a highly qualified team, and worked on acquiring new contracts. Several monitoring systems were installed and validated in pilot turbines.
