I was paired with a fellow counselor, and a group of 4 - 6 neurodiverse children, who ranged from ages 4-13. We met for 5 hours, 5 days a week in a regional park where we practiced nature therapy and mindfulness activities. We prepared each activity to cater to the group’s dynamic and with the focus of the campers practicing their social and internal awareness.

Greater San Diego Area

I was a College Outreach Ambassador placed at Lincoln High School. I mentored 9th and 11th graders, to help them prepare for their goals after high school. I met with them one-on-one to get to know their interests, so I can provide them with the support they need to the best of my abilities. I provided them with links to programs of their interest, test prep website, and scholarships. I also held workshops about important information about the college process, and different schooling opportunities after high school.
