I am a passionate hardworking individual who has vast experience. After I left school I studying Accounting and absolutely loved it. Although my job search was not fruitful, I started my career as a Train Driver which was not planned. It was an exhilarating experience. Working out in the field was what I loved the most. Due to personal reasons I chose to take the plunge and do something new and I was one of the very fortunate to get a Learnership to study and qualify as a Phlebotomist. This was challenging and rewarding as I was learning something new. The best part of this experience was working with people, I loved the interaction with the patients and helping them get through their trying experiences was rewarding. During my time as a Phlebotomist I was approached to return as a train driver as there was a shortage and a need for qualified Drivers. The renumeration was competitive and I had my eldest son starting high school and our expenses were increasing. I returned as a train driver and worked well for 4 years. I had an IOD where it was recommended that I be redeployed to an office position due to the unsafe and volitile conditions out in the field. I have worked as a Safety Officer since. I enjoy it very much as I work in the field and in the office. Administrative is my strong point and I excel in that function. I am looking to settle in a field where I can be versitile and be the most beneficial to the organization. I believe Phlebotomy will be a great opportunity to exibit my strong attributes such as working with people, young, old, frail etc, doing the administrative duties where the need arises and being on site to different facilities.
