The care and well-being of animals have always held a special place in my heart. My younger years were spent in the rural outskirts of Louisiana, where the presence of animals was a constant source of joy and responsibility. Whenever an animal was injured or in distress on our property, I felt an innate sense of duty to ensure its welfare. Guiding my parents to provide care or a visit to the vet clinic became an instinctive response, fueling my emotional connection to the well-being of animals. The Incredible Dr. Pol series became an integral part of my daily routine, serving as a wellspring of knowledge and inspiration that nurtured my deep-rooted aspiration to become a veterinarian. Each evening, after completing my schoolwork, I eagerly tuned in to watch Dr. Pol's show, immersing myself in the triumphs and challenges of veterinary medicine. It was during these moments of watching Dr. Pol that I discovered my passion for the field, the knowledge and insight gained from his show instilled in me a love for the practice of veterinary medicine.Embracing my fervent desire to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, I embarked on a quest to seek out opportunities that resonated with my compassionate nature. It was then that I found myself at Pine Hill Farms, an important stepping stone on my journey. Commencing with (horse) riding lessons, I eagerly extended my assistance in tending the stables, which became an immersive learning experience that illuminated my path forward. Despite the demanding physical labor, each moment spent at the farm deepened my affection for animals and fostered a profound understanding of their needs. This hands-on engagement equipped me with valuable skills, encompassing the skill of animal temperaments, the tedious task of administering medical care, and the meticulous cleanliness in ensuring their well-being.
