Throughout my career in Social Work, I have been privileged to work with individuals across all walks of life. I have assisted those of various of races, genders, and economic statuses by researching and utilizing facilities and programs that relate to improving an individual’s mental health, drug and alcohol addiction, medical treatments, finances, and progressing on common disparities. I am well-versed in providing access to resources and strategies regarding social support, conflict resolution, improving/maintaining daily living, managing finances, and obtaining income/benefits for those struggling. I excelled at monitoring regression and advancements observed in individuals and families based on the Department of Human Services requirements, the law and company policy.Previous positions have enhanced my organization and time management skills throughout my career. Both were necessary when I prepared and presented sensitive content during collaborative meetings or when testifying in court. These skills were easily transferred and have been strengthened while working at PA CareerLink over the past year.As a Universal Workforce Advisor at PA CareerLink, I balance different departments and tasks as needed. Particularly, my first responsibility in this position was linking customers with information about local, county, and state career training and development initiatives that can be useful in innumerable situations. Due to my flexible nature, I learned to specialize in not only clearly communicating information about workforce training and apprenticeship programs but welcome interviewing, administering proficiency testing through CASAS, and fielding questions about accessing unemployment and resources through PA CareerLink as well.I also collaborated with the Education and Training Coordinator at PA CareerLink by outreaching to new and returning customers who submit requests for follow-up to the monitored statewide database. I maintain complete and accurate internal records of the trajectory of customers interested in training and furthering their education for the entire center. Additionally, I track, report, and provide solutions on issues customers and online users may experience registering and training. Moving forward, I intend to implement the skills I have developed and continue to elevate to accomplish assignments promptly and thoroughly. I am dedicated to absorbing and applying gained knowledge and skills to be of assistance during a plethora of circumstances.
