I have worked as a full-scope certified nurse midwife for over 19 years. I began working for Intermountain Health in 2019 to build a midwifery service line for a brand new hospital in Layton, UT. Previously, I served as Clinical Practice Director of the BirthCare HealthCare Midwifery practice at the University of Utah for 6 years managing 17 CNMs at 6 different clinic sites and inpatient midwifery services at the University of Utah Hospital. I also served as the Prenatal Medical Director of the Teen Mother and Child Program at South Main Clinic for over 10 years. My interests include quality improvement/value-driven outcomes in midwifery care, physiologic birth practices, underserved populations, health disparities, maternal mortality/morbidity and woman-centered care through the lifespan.
