This is used to inform and develop future business strategy and scope relevant research projects. •Develop Technical Marketing content in support of product campaigns /launches by integrating latest performance additive development with the business strategy.

•Coordinate short term research projects and activities in support of day-to-day operations •Identify, scope & prioritise projects in support of future business ambitions focusing on decarbonisation & sustainability activities. •Implement and/or execute on the results from research projects based on cost benefit analysis in line with business strategy. •Lead and conduct incident investigations related to deviation in product quality to determine the root cause • Ensure the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventative actions • Provide technical problem solving, troubleshooting and optimisation service to internal and external customers •Provide input & support to optimise existing operating processes and operations •Facilitate and manage the testing of Sasol products and samples • Gather & disseminate market intelligence with focus on renewable and sustainability drivers including but not limited to Electric Vehicle infrastructure and Hydrogen filling stations • Manage product approval trials, component fit-for-purpose & additive approvals • Execute a corporate mandate to act as custodian for product quality for all products sold by Sasol Energy • Provide customer with product knowledge on Sasol’s Energy product catalogue • Align, review and update relevant SOPs in support of safe operating practices • Provide assistance to product stewardship department by acting as Energy Technology’s custodian for fuel and lubricant product SDS' & PDS' • Establish critical controls, roll-out and monitor initiatives to prevent product quality related KUE’s • Coach and develop the team members• Conduct technical investigations. This includes issuing stop-trading instructions and facilitating on-site rehabilitation and lead RCAs • Conduct technical site audits actively identifying any potential issues which could influence any aspects related to SHERQ • Present technical training to internal and external customers • Design and implement database management systems.
