The video had over 120,000 views on YouTube and was even Tweeted by Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada.Represented Lonely Planet on the guidebook panel of the Book Passage Travel Writers and Photographers Conference (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019), one of the premier conferences of its kind in the world. In the last few years I have also spoken on a few other panels about social media and travel writing and helped students develop and edit their work.

My articles have been published in numerous publications including National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic Traveller (UK), the Los Angeles Times, Wanderlust Magazine (UK), Islands Magazine, LonelyPlanet.com, BBC Travel and Travelers' Tales Anthologies.I helped Elizabeth Gilbert plan her trip to French Polynesia and research Tahiti and then I edited the Tahitian sections for her 2013 novel The Signature of All Things.In 2005 through 2006 I was a syndicated columnist for King Features "Travels With Lonely Planet" that was printed in newspapers across the US to over 1 million readers.I'm often interviewed by or mentioned as a travel expert; publications have included The New York Times, Parenting, More Magazine & Portland Monthly. I've had photos published on LonelyPlanet.com, Gadling.com, BBC Travel, AFAR and in print in Travel & Leisure Southeast Asia.

Managed a team of five professionals in an office environment.During my time at Kamoka I received the highest prices for single pieces in the company's history.My networking launched a lucrative eco-oriented import/export business of oyster shell and pearl nuclei between China and Tahiti that revolutionized ecological pearl farming.By using traditional media, building a website and networking with the biggest names in the industry, I branded the company as the world's first socio and environmentally responsible Tahitian pearl farm.
