During my first year at United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia/South Carolina, Inc. (UCP), my primary responsibilities were recruitment, processing and coordinating the successful completion of pre-employment contingencies for all new hires. By the time I had reached my second year, I was also participating in open enrollment and unemployment claims. At end of my second year, our department was restructured and I was offered HR Generalist responsibilities as an HR Representative. This promotion greatly expanded my responsibilities into the full employee life cycle. Some accomplishments worth mentioning...I've increased accuracy in file compliance by creating operations manual and checklists for processing new hires. I've created and maintain a database that allows easier reporting of HR Metrics on Time to Fill, number of applicants interviewed, processed and hired. It is said that, "20% of the people do 80% of the work." I am that top 20!
