About Celeste Greene
My journey into laughter and well being began in 2010 after getting laid off from my job as a marketing account manager. In a quest to reignite my joy, I discovered the life-changing power of intentional laughter. Transformed by the experience of laughing on purpose, it became my mission to share this practice with anyone who would listen. I started a Laughter Club that is free and open to the public where everyone is welcome to experience the health benefits of intentional laughter. The Laughter Club has been featured in local and national media and has been going strong for nearly fifteen years.I have presented at TEDx Centennial Park Women and laughed with organizations of all kinds. I am known for my warmth, humor, and ability to quickly put audiences at ease. Clients consistently praise me as the highlight of their events, appreciating my unique approach to coaxing laughter out of even the most resistant. My extensive work laughing with older adults inspired me to complete my Master of Arts in Gerontology at Georgia State University in 2014. While at GSU I did a rigorous evaluation study looking at the efficacy of laughter-enhanced exercise in improving older adults physical and mental health. Later the study was published in a peer-reviewed journal. I am passionate about sharing the knowledge I have gained through my fifteen years experience teaching Laughter Yoga. I have facilitated dozens of Certified Laughter Yoga Leader trainings, helping people to deepen their own laughter and learn how to facilitate Laughter Yoga sessions.In 2017, Dr. Madan Kataria, the founder of the worldwide Laughter Yoga movement, awarded me the prestigious Laughter Ambassador distinction for my outstanding work in the field. In addition to my work in the field of laughter I work as a part-time grant-funded professional in the Gerontology Institute at Georgia State University.
