Founded a network to be fully operated and managed by native youth from each respective participating community. The idea is to have native youth from different tribes and areas of the country(urban and reservation) come together to share ideas and develop concepts to support positive changes in their communities. Planning and designing how to share and collaborate data sourcing within the Oglala Lakota tribe.

The Lakota Atlas is an Indigenous Mapping and Storytelling project centered on remembering traditional knowledges through a present-time telescope by utilizing a modern technology, Geographical Information Systems, bringing back traditional mapping methods, and Lakota oral history. One pivotal aspect of Lakota Atlas is the filling of archival gaps in our history and creating conscientious datasets that initiate and protect data sovereignty while sharing the stories contained in those datasets.

The program is a 12-week internship where you'll learn valuable Data Science skills like programming, collaborating with new tools, and working on an Earth analysis research project. The first four weeks or so are more intense, with a lot of learning and practice, and the final six weeks will be spent designing, developing, researching, and presenting your own collaborative research project.I was able to work with Oglala Lakota College on a Pine Ridge Church Discovery project utilizing Python and Google Colab to create a map and database.
