Human Resources Manager

•Supervises, plans, organizes and controls all activities of the Human Resources and Payroll departments•Creates and manages organizational development such as employee handbooks, new policies, procedures, job descriptions, and performance reviews•Coordinates employee activities, interacts with employees to identify areas of concern that may affect retention, coaches managers with personnel issues and discipline•Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment•Strategically plans for future growth of organization, including analyzing due diligence data from potential acquisition targets•Manages all company recruiting efforts , including positing open positions, resume review, and interviewing•Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements•Prepares offer letters for candidates, organizes, and presents new employee orientation, schedules background and drug tests, schedules employee training, and enters new employee into payroll database•Manages all health benefits administration, coordinates annual health benefit open enrollment maintains online enrollment database, new employee enrollment, and oversees the reconciliation of monthly health insurance invoices•Administers Company 401K plan and ensures ERISA compliance including preparing and completing annual 5500 filing•Manages corporate insurance programs, including annual renewal and claims reporting•Ensures accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates in status changes, tax withholdings, garnishments, manual checks, benefits deductions, time off accruals, year-end reporting (W-2, 1099’s etc.)•Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations•Set up and maintain state industry filings and state withholding and unemployment taxes
