I am a Year 3 student at Republic Polytechnic's School of Management and Communication and also hold an Executive Committee position as the Head of Industry Advocacy in the Human Capital Interest Group in my school. I am pursuing a diploma in Human Resources Management with Psychology through the polytechnic pathway. During my time at Republic Polytechnic, I have had many a chance to lead a team, as well as organise various events. I was involved in a Student Overseas Trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, in September 2023 where I learned and observed the different HR functions in various companies. As someone passionate about interacting and managing talents, this will be an invaluable opportunity to be more in touch with the HR industry. I have acquired an IHRP-CA (Institue for Human Resource Professionals - Certified Associate) Certification to further ground and establish myself in the HR industry. During my free time, I enjoy talking to people. Though I don't consider myself extroverted, I've always found it interesting to learn more about the many stories from strangers, acquaintances, or friends. To broaden my horizons, I like to volunteer for projects that aim to give back to the community. One such opportunity was E-ISLP (E-International Service Learning Project) when I was able to design an English lesson for Cambodian students. Not only did I get the chance to interact with international students, but it also greatly increased my sense of interpersonal skills, as I got to facilitate the lesson too. I strive to continue my path of self-realisation and to maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle.
