Main Responsibilities: NPI(New Product Introduction) and improving established processes to preserve illumina's instrument cosmetic standards.Collaborating on:• The qualification of new paint suppliers.• The qualification of an Adhesive Tape Converter supplier.• Creating work instructions for assemblies during the prototype phases. Developing the inspections procedures to transition from the development phases to production.• Created a control system for color/appearance standards.• Creation of color/appearance standard coupons for new products.• Organized the color/appearance standard coupons of current products. • Introducing new devices to enhance the generation of new standards and evaluation of cosmetic surfaces. Improving the department CMF metrology capabilities.• Evaluating new materials. As an example, evaluated various removable protective films available in the market, to find the most appropriate, that would protect the enclosure across the manufacturing process without damaging the surface finishes when removed. • Designed for manufacturing the NovaSeq X enclosures removable protective film, to successfully deliver the enclosures protective film pasting process and created the manufacturing work instructions and the inspection acceptance criteria. • Originating and submitting change requests (CR) as necessary. Working on building and testing prototypes of new products. I also support New Product Implementation activities. Some of the prototypes that I have been involved are the NextSeq and NovaSeq instruments.

Supporting the Hi-Seq instruments upgrades for the Sequencing Services Department.Troubleshooting Hi-Scan, I-Scan and Hi-Seq instruments for the Development and System Integration Department.

Developed documentation to re-locate and qualify the Engineering and R & D (Research and Development) departments instruments. Performed the preparation of the equipment for shipment and the installation and qualification of the instruments in the new facilities.

Responsible for fluorescent imaging system optical alignment.Worked heavily with engineering to developed an optical alignment process for a prototype system . Collecting data for analysis to test instrument performance (Testing software).Developing alignment procedure (SOP) to conduct training on aligners as instrument start regular production.Conducting final system tests and measurements. Training new aligners on existing optical systems.Troubleshooting optical systems.

Project Leader during introduction of new products, coordinating all departments (Materials, Quality, Production, Maintenance) and performing process Qualification and Validation. Promoting Teamwork as a key for success. Assembly Training in new or existing product lines (automated or manual processes).
