16+ years ago I started working in the legal field as a Receptionist. Since then I aggressively strived for learning opportunities within the law firms that I have been employed with, touching tasks and projects across multiple positions on my way into Legal Billing/Accounting. I lead an accounting sub-department which focuses on pinpointing billing related issues, analysis, strategizing, and the recovery of large dollar funds being withheld from my firm for legal work provided. I also provide and conduct training for the billing department relating to recovery of funds for cases where they are the assigned biller. This was a specialized role within a fast paced, high pressured, complex billing environment that is very much deadline oriented. I now am Billing Supervisor in a large billing department and have found that I excel in this type of environment and take full pride in my work ethics and work product. My natural skill set of being thorough, hard working, and analytical have allowed me to be successful in what I do and I am more than happy with the Law Firm I work for. I am employed with Wood, Smith, Henning, & Berman LLP, an international law firm that specializes in multiple areas inclusive of business and civil litigation representing clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 corporations.
