CurrentPhoto Fun!The key point of contact within the AFL Photography Team for AFL Departments, Clubs, Commercial Partners and other stakeholders. The role enables stakeholders to fulfil their photographic requirements. Through building and maintaining effective client relationships, the role ensures both photographer talent and photographic content are utilised effectively across AFL match content, campaigns and projects. They’re pretty great and they’re just Word documents.Editing, tagging and archiving images in the AFL Digital Asset Management System from match day and other photographic events to ensure the archive has the correct metadata needed for photo research and historic digital curation. This includes adding names of each footballer featured in each photo. I can't remember how old I am sometimes, but I know all the guys who play for Fremantle I guarantee! Providing photo research to external and internal clients for commercial and editorial campaigns, publications and projects, and working with AFL marketing and legal teams on appropriate image use and copyright.I’ll sometimes have an email with the red exclamation mark requesting an image for for use in a commercial context and a deadline of 1 hour from now. One hour is enough time to explain copyright, brand protection and intellectual property and providing them with all the info they need to use our images correctly. The next time they email me there’s a smiley face emoticon in there somewhere. Coordinating and fulfilling AFL photo license subscriptions, assisting clubs, corporate partners and licensees with their photographic requirements and making dollary-doos for the AFL. I once got sent a box of chocolates for getting a photo of Dustin Martin express posted to a 6-year-old for Christmas.
