I am proud to have been part of the very beginning of the Women's Equality Party. I joined the staff team in 2015 alongside my work in Children's Services to support branches, and began to build the movement. As the young movement grew and professionalised, my role evolved, As Head of Members and Supporters, I lead on the Women's Equality Party's members and supporters' strategy, recruiting, engaging and retaining our valued membership. I also develop, manage and support our National branch network, oversee our volunteer programme and manage the Party's technical infrastructure.

Established the party's national branch network and member journey. Supported branches and activists to identify candidates and prepare for elections, to run policy campaigns and build their local movement. Developed the membership journey and established communication systems between the membership and the party. Played a key role in delivering the party's first conference.

Developed a strategy for the engagement and multi-agency support of children, young people and families most in need of support; consulted on, designed and implemented a shared assessment framework across the workforce supporting children and families in the city.

Successfully managed a programme targeting the young people most at risk of custodial sentences, meeting all annual targets; worked as part of the New Deal for Communities programme to engage volunteers from within the local community; and designed and organised activities, groups and training programmes to divert young people from offending. I also delivered recognised training programmes to both young people and practitioners; collected, managed and analysed data; and managed a team of youth workers, sessional workers and volunteers.
