Librarian
Current• Assist patrons with all services which are offered at the library circulation desk.• This includes the issuance of library cards, the lending of books and other materials, access to and assistance with public computers, reference and readers’ advisory services, and various other library services. • Responsible for providing excellent customer service, for ensuring that library policies and procedures are being followed at all times, and for communicating clearly and effectively to all library users.• Requires attention to detail, ability to work independently and with others, and multi-tasking. •Most importantly, should possess excellent communication and customer service skills.• All circulation duties: included but not limited to checking items in and out, pulling holds, processing materials, registering patrons, collecting fines, shelving and shelf maintenance.• Assists patrons with the use of public computers, printers, and other technology.• Provides information to the public on library policies and procedures.• Performs routine searches and updates of computer records.• Contacts patrons to deliver messages or information on library materials.• Provides reference and readers advisory.• Makes time for shelving and shelf maintenance.• Advises the library administration on library services.• Performs other duties as assigned by the library director.• Reviews, abides by, and enforces all library policies
