During my internship at the steel shop of ArcelorMittal, I worked on the automatic tipping of a crane to pour liquid hot metal into a steel converter. I was responsible for the optimization of crane parameters to find a balance between pouring efficiency and triggering safety limits.

VTK Gent is the official student association of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Ghent University. We have over 2000 members for whom we organise a variety of events, workshops and cultural activities. VTK Career & Development is responsible for supporting the corporate relations and the soft skill development of its members. We connect students and companies by organising various activities including a job fair, internship fair and sector specific activities. The job fair is our biggest activity, housing more than 100 companies. Furthermore, we offer students the opportunity to strengthen their soft skills during our development day, as well as our development courses.
