Celine Havard has directed regionally, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway. Havard directed American premieres of EXIT ENTRANCE by Aidan Matthews and WHEN I WAS A GIRL I USED TO SCREAM AND SHOUT by Sharman MacDonald at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadephia. Directing and acting in many developing works, Havard was also a founding member of Abingdon Theatre Company, Stagedotorg and The Alternative Theatre Company. Credits at Pulse Ensemble Theatre include the Off-Broadway premiere of CAPTIVE (published by Samuel French) and SESSION by Broadway playwright Lezley Steele. As a Managing Director Havard has worked for Landis & Company, Lynn Shapiro Dance Company and Andrew Janetti and Dancers. Havard served as Marketing Director co-jointly to Intar, Hispanic American Arts Center and the Women’s Project & Productions. Other credits include the Drama League, Peacock Productions, Cowgirl Productions, PassionPlum Productions and the Manhattan Theatre Club. She has directed, produced and professionally consulted on many independent readings, staged readings, showcases, and readings of screenplays. Havard has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Temple University and a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration and Education from Columbia University.Havard Produced a successful run of "The #metoo Plays" in NYC in 2018 featuring 16 dynamic short plays from around the globe that tackled various perspectives of this complex relevant movement. TATCo's 2019 short play Festival "Altered Minds" presented a series of Staged Readings on mental health issues during the Spring and Summer, that culminated in successful Off-Broadway Showcase Production at the American Theater of Actors in November and December of 2019.In 2020 Havard, and The Alternative Theater Company produced "BelieveAbility" a series of plays on religious freedom, faith, equality and acceptance that were presented as FREE Zoom readings and Benefits for the Actors Fund, champions in their effort to assist artists during this difficult time of our industry's history.
