• Headed all administrative processes in procedure booking, patient registration, scheduling, preoperative clearance and testing, data management, patient and family education of pre- and post-operative care, and documenting clinical information for oculoplastic surgery patients in an outpatient setting.• Centralized patient follow-up information across platforms to expedite bookings and clearances with private operating rooms/hospitals, streamline office responses to patient clinical needs/requests and insurance matters, and update transaction records for increased practice efficiency.• Coordinated care for new and established patients by acting as direct liaison between the physician and patients, coordinating with the surgeon to address patients’ clinical questions/needs, addressing obstacles & solutions (financing, pre-operative testing, insurance coverage, etc.) in the surgical booking process, and managing health insurance prior authorizations.• Managed patient flow in coordination with coworkers by preparing charts, setting up exam rooms in sterile fashion, organizing sterile instruments/equipment pre-operatively, greeting and setting up patients in rooms, taking patient history and vitals, coordinating samples/specimens for submission to labs, signing out patients, and turning over rooms.• Undertook creative direction in the practice’s 2022 anniversary event, including creating the graphic design of event cards, curating aesthetic branding of digital marketing, and facilitating event promotion on social media.
