About Celine Hodge

I am currently in charge of piloting two major university programs for the First Year Experience Department. One of my primary functions as Assistant Director of the First Year Experience is to facilitate and coordinate communication throughout the campus. Since a university can become a web of silos, this is no simple task. Due to my educational background and higher education experience, I've gained a love of internally connecting the dots. I am always striving to fully understand the big picture which helps me navigate my professional world and solve complex communication and management issues.My professional journey in higher education has further cemented my foundation in the sphere of communication, highlighting my adaptive abilities, intellectual curiosity, leadership skills, and creative thinking.Current status : Looking for new professional development and networking opportunities. Offer guidance in customizing the CCs to new department for Fall 2018 (launched a Sophomore Business Community), and in Spring 2018 (College of Education).9. Provides professional development for CC faculty and staff mentors as well as student staff.10. Supervises and manages 54 student workers as well as two graduate assistants.11. Fosters a collaborative, collegial working environment.12. Serves as the STARS Services Director in his/her absence.
