Interestingly enough, I had no intention on becoming a financial professional in my early career. Previously I owned a successful consulting & marketing firm working primarily with financial advisors, physicians and small business owners when everything changed.....my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He was the guy who always had money in his pocket and knew how to stretch a dollar further than most, but he never understood the need for a financial professional.The motivating event to change career paths came while watching my mother, (who was a selfless, self-made businesswoman), suffer with both fear and humiliation when her husband and soul mate ended up on Medicaid in a nursing home because of a lack of proper planning. While helping my mom through this ordeal, I decided to to make it my life’s purpose to help educate and guide families to and through their retirement, like I wish someone would have done for my parents. I understand that each of my clients have unique and varying needs and by being an independent investment adviser and insurance agent - with access to multiple solutions, carriers, and resources - I can help them to create their own independence in retirement. Whether I am doing an income plan for a retiree or assisting a small business owner to set up a retirement or succession plan, it is always the clients goals that dictate the outcome, not the products or services I can provide.
