Celine Tricart is a film and video game director who creates poetic and engaging immersive experiences, reinventing the way we tell stories through technology, whether that of the Yezidi women fighting ISIS (“The Sun Ladies”, shown at Sundance and SXSW), or that of refugees in the award-winning “The Key” (which won at the Venice Film Festival and Tribeca). Her work gathered a Lion for Best Immersive Work at the Venice Film Festival (2019), the Storyscapes Award at Tribeca (2019), two Lumiere Awards from the Advanced Imaging Society, two Telly Awards, an Auggie and a Platinum Aurora Award, amongst many other accolades. Celine served as the president of the International Jury of the Venice Virtual Reality section at the Biennale Cinema 2020. Celine was awarded France’s prestigious insignia of Chevalier De l’Ordre Des Arts et Des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by the Ministry of Culture of France, and did a keynote on storytelling at SXSW 2022. She is also a martial artist and a certified Empowerment Self-Defense instructor.Celine’s Los Angeles-based company, Lucid Dreams Productions, specializes in utilizing new technologies to further bold, unapologetic storytelling, and in empowering female voices in the filmmaking process. Celine co-founded COVEN, a video game studio based in Paris, France and focusing on telling strong emotional stories and innovative gameplay. COVEN currently has a VR action adventure game in production and an artistic, atmospheric 2D game for PC, Consoles and Switch in prototyping phase.
