CurrentSmithsonian Coral Digitization Project· Oversaw the development of educational materials describing 3D constructions of archived coral samples from Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. · Collaboration with the Smithsonian’s Digitization Project Office and a team of distinguished, international coral researchers on the construction of an interactive, online database for coral specimen information.· Project utilizes photogrammetry techniques to bring digitized models of 100 coral specimens from reserve collections to researchers and the public, with emphasis on human-centered interface design.· Models include information about coral samples such as location found and collection date in addition to ecological importance and natural history – all received through user interaction of the model through the use of Google Model Viewer capabilities.· Current advising on pipeline project developments, press release drafts, and discussions for the growing potential of human centered design in the development of ocean solutions addressing anthropogenic impacts on marine ecosystems.· Temperate marine ecology specialist and outreach representative for the Hydrous in the Pacific Northwest Region.· Virtual Reality dive guide, engaging community members with viewings and discussions of IMMERSE, a VR film produced by the Hydrous, detailing the coral bleaching phenomenon seen in Palau.
