The Celloop Project is a mobile app-based initiative focused on addressing the e- waste problem and promoting the circular economy in Nigeria and potentially other African countries. The project aims to recover end-of-life battery cells, process and rejuvenate them, and give them a second life for use in various products, such as renewable energy storage systems, e-mobility solutions, and Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) offerings.Second Life Use in Products:a. Renewable Energy Storage Systems (Solar Power Wall Socket): The rejuvenated battery cells are repackaged and used in renewable energy storage systems, like the Solar Power Wall Socket. These systems allow users to store electricity generated from solar panels and use it later, promoting a more sustainable and reliable energy supply.b. E-Mobility (Battery Packs): The repurposed battery cells power electric vehicles, such as motorcycles, bicycles, and other forms of e-mobility. By providing clean and reliable energy, these battery packs contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting eco-friendly transportation options.c. Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS): The project offers battery cells for BaaS models, where users can rent battery packs for various applications, including e-mobility and solar inverters. This model reduces the need for customers to invest in expensive batteries upfront and supports the broader adoption of clean energy solutions.
