As part of the multi-faceted initiative led by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) across five countries in Latin America, my role at UFZ involves a blend of research, stakeholder collaboration, knowledge dissemination, project steering, and platform contribution. My research responsibilities extend to conducting in-depth analyses to understand and support the construction of narratives that bolster climate resilience, biodiversity, productivity, equity, and community welfare. Serving as a pivotal liaison between UFZ & TNC Argentina/Paraguay, and a diverse array of stakeholders, I ensure streamlined communication, effective data exchange, and smooth collaboration between different stakeholders from varied socio-political constituencies. I take pride in facilitating the transfer of trustworthy social science insights on sustainable rural development practices, processes, and policies. These insights aim to strengthen regulatory frameworks and champion resilient landscapes and the social inclusion of our vibrant rural communities. In tandem with these responsibilities, I am deeply involved in the consolidation of a multi-stakeholder platform, conceived as a fundamental mechanism to synchronize efforts from public, private, academic, and community entities, all with the shared goal of fostering a sustainable agricultural shift in LATAM.

Stenon is an Agri-tech company offering a soil-sensing solution to conduct on-site agricultural soil analyses. At Stenon, I conduct market and agronomic forecasting research to evaluate different scenarios for the company's expansion plan. The Management and the CEO uses research outcomes to make informed decisions and prepare for meetings with investors.

AT SUSLAND-ZALF, I co-coordinate an interdisciplinary team to develop community and nature-based strategies to mitigate complex problems of farming systems. Results were used to produce scientific articles, policy orientation, infographics, and develop social cohesion indicators for a sustainability impact assessment framework (SCALA-PB).

As a principal investigator, I was responsible for overseeing the entire research process, from planning and execution to administration of the research grant. This included conducting multi-stakeholder retrospective and prospective analysis. The results of the research were used to create scientific publications and a manual on good governance practices to support the implementation of nature-based business models and ethical value chains.

In this project, I meticulously designed and executed a comprehensive study that examined the social, economic, political, and environmental factors in Brazil to evaluate the potential for creating sustainable agri-food networks. The results were used to publish scientific articles and book chapters, as well as to establish learning networks to support sustainability transitions.
