Sou um pesquisador apaixonado pela conservação e restauração das florestas tropicais e pela mitigação das mudanças climáticas. Tenho mais de sete anos de experiência em sensoriamento remoto, geoprocessamento, inventário florestal, dinâmica do fogo, dinâmica do carbono, e uso e cobertura da terra na Amazônia.Atualmente, trabalho no IPAM Amazônia, onde contribuo para projetos de pesquisa e consultoria relacionados ao MRV REDD+ (Monitoramento, Relato e Verificação de Redução de Emissões por Desmatamento e Degradação Florestal), Soluções Baseadas na Natureza, Inventário de Emissões por Uso da Terra, e Mapeamento de Queimadas e Incêndios Florestais. Também sou Professor Permanente da Pós-graduação em Biodiversidade e Conservação da UFMA e Pesquisador Honorário da Universidade de Manchester. A minha missão é gerar e disseminar conhecimento científico que apoie a tomada de decisão e a implementação de políticas públicas e privadas que promovam a sustentabilidade ambiental e social na Amazônia e no mundo.
