As an HR Data Analyst on a compensation team, I support both HR analytics and Compensation activities. HR analytics often includes providing reporting and ad hoc analysis to HR leadership, as well as helping HR teams manage and submit accurate HR and employee data. For Compensation, I support various processes, such as annual incentive plan payouts and the annual merit cycles. Also, I provide labor market analysis/local compensation analysis, often leveraging salary survey software. Most analysis involves using Excel, R and/or Tableau.

I worked on the PMO team to support Service Contract Act (SCA) employees employed by Maximus. Specifically, I analyzed data to verify that the company is in compliance with the Service Contract Act and its compensation requirements. This involved synthesizing large amounts employee and government data then working with and supporting various teams aimed at making necessary data changes in the system and communicating these changes to impacted employees. Also in this role I used data cleaning techniques and various software (e.g., R Studio, Excel) to automate processes and provide accurate data to others in digestible formats.

My first role during this time was as an analyst conducting the global Employee Engagement survey for over 15,000 employees in 2018 and 2019. This included survey design, administration, analysis and results sharing while coordinating to meet the needs of several divisions and global regions.My second role was part of the Reporting & Analytics team during a company-wide HRIS and Reporting systems migration. Much of this time was spent coordinating with IT and business groups to determine the best way to meet reporting needs then designing, creating and validating dashboards and reports to meet those needs.

COR consulting projects ranged from survey design and analysis to assessment item writing. These projects spanned across several industries and included partnering with different organizational teams and/or consultants. Project highlights include: researching and writing testing appeals and accommodations procedures for a national technology company, writing behaviorally anchored rating scales for a performance feedback system in a regional healthcare company and designing a survey for a local nonprofit children's arts program.

I supported a variety of research-related tasks, such as conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, partnering with other research institutions, preparing manuscripts for publication and designing laboratory studies for data collection. As the most senior member of the lab at the time, I also mentored and provided support to other incoming research assistants and associates, including designing and providing onboarding materials.

This included preparing teaching materials, conveying information to students through a variety of mediums (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, hands on activities, etc.) and grading assignments using standardized rubrics.
