Manager, Managed Care Writing Team
Current- Manage and train writing staff in Managed Care Department- Write, edit, format healthcare assessment, compliance, and focused study reports, including annual technical reports, work plans, external review tools, letters to health plans, and reports on specialty subjects, such as access & utility, depression screening, birth registry, and childhood obesity- Develop and maintain internal style guide (based on the APA and GPO manuals of style), acronym master list, and report templates- Support Managed Care Department external quality review (EQR) contracts with eight states, including New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Nebraska and Kentucky- Manage written outcomes and performance/quality improvement project (PIP/QIP) reports in Medicaid contracts- Manage the annual technical report (ATR) and quality technical report (QTR) process for various contracts- Build new quality assessment tools and templates for healthcare readiness and quality assessment measures and data collection from health plans in various states- Design and run online and offline EQR-related surveys on behalf of clients, collect and manage survey results, and write reports and white papers based on results- Pre-onsite (desk) Medicaid audit (utilization management, subcontracting, program integrity [fraud, waste and abuse]) and readiness review crosswalk (care management)- Onsite Medicaid managed care compliance audits (file review and face-to-face interviews with health plans)- PIP validation from initial PIP proposal to interim report to final report over a two-year period (2017 onwards)
