Cem is responsible for managing and coordinating all GIS activities for the railway design team. He also manages the Pedestrian Simulation studies to identify potential bottlenecks or underperformance in particular areas, and determine the impacts of alternative design options, operational scenarios, event management scenarios, crowd control scenarios, evacuation conditions, mitigation measures and infrastructure upgrades or improvements to the existing design. A wide range of software including ArcGIS and LEGION are used to provide support to alignment engineers, architects and urban planners. He also plays an active role at the international projects such as Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Metro Project and Lahore (Pakistan) BRT Project. Some of the important projects realized are given below:1. As a senior GIS Specialist, Cem was responsible for organizing and managing the geospatial data for transportation projects which were being done for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. He worked on highway, tunnel, bridge, viaduct projects in addition to the intersection design, traffic circulation and signalization works.

As a senior GIS Specialist, Cem was responsible for organizing and managing the geospatial data for transportation planning projects which were being done for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. He worked on highway, tunnel, bridge, viaduct projects in addition to the intersection design, traffic circulation and signalization works.

Cem worked as a GIS Analyst on Istanbul Metropolitan Area 1:25.000 and 1:100.000 Master Plan Studies in addition to his tasks in the Transportation Master Plan studies.
