I have more than fourteen years of research and consultancy experience in international trade, finance, tourism, economic integration, economic growth, and development. I am the author of two books on international macroeconomics and published several scholarly and non-scholarly articles. I presented my papers and delivered keynote lectures at several international conferences and workshops such as in Dubai, Brussels, Paris, Copenhagen, and Nairobi. Amongst others, I provided research and consultancy services to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council), the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) on international tourism, development, international trade, and investment issues. I also managed funds for international research and training projects obtained from various national and international institutions such as the COMCEC and collaborated with prominent institutions such as the UNCTAD and the Islamic Tourism Centre of Malaysia.
