It all starts with the individual. Individuals can lead, resist, alter a culture, make or break an implementation. Most leaders rise based on their expertise rather than an innate ability to lead. I develop leaders, teams, and organizations to create sustainable change and impact.My career in leadership has taken a non-linear path driven by a penchant for developing people, innovative problem-solving and a commitment to systemic change. Five things to know about me:1. I’ve been a leader in many fields, a mentor, and a cultivator of talent for those that surround me. A sampling of my roles include: Consultant, C-Suite leader, Social Worker, Professor, Dean, and School Board Trustee. This breadth of experience allows me to understand a multitude of challenges and connect easily with clients.2. I earned a Ph.D. focused on leadership, organizational development, and education to influence systems and address organizational challenges.3. Through work with over 100 organizations across a range of industries, I’ve experienced a spectrum of cultures: from amplified bureaucracy versus extreme efficiency to kind versus toxic leadership. These experiences taught me to be resilient and approach career transitions with agility. 4. I have a knack for synthesizing complex information, discerning overarching patterns, and translating them into actionable strategies. I see strengths and cultural nuances that can be addressed in innovative, customized ways. 5. I row sculls in the Pacific Ocean. Lack of synchronization can lead to a cold swim (done that!). Rowing is a metaphor for how I help clients navigate themselves out of messy water by aligning their purpose, strategy, and performance. Clients who have worked with me will tell you that I am a partner for change who supports and challenges them. I increase their capacity to delegate, build self-confidence, expand executive presence, explore career transitions, and to set boundaries to find better work life balance.
