The International Institute for African Scholars provides support to African Universities, their faculty members, students and alumni in areas of technology, performance improvement, and innovation.Program AreasProgram areas highlight the focus of the institute and comprise projects that are in alignment with the focus but adapted to the culture of the individual universities. Program areas of the institute are as follows:• Individual University Innovation Affirmation• Strategic Enforcement of "Publish or Perish"• Inter-Institutional Collaboration Programs and Project Executions • Trans-Continental Faculty ConferenceAs the Director of Projects, my responsibilities include providing leadership for the core functions and project areas, directing innovation, promoting the institute’s programs through educational conferences, fundraising, membership drive, corporate and strategic relationship management.The IIAS functions are to advance the educational mission through fundraising, public relations, promotion of speaking engagements for members, relationship management activities, collaboration in public development projects and promotion of research publications. Other functions include annual fundraising, grant writing, promotion of alumni activities and connecting university research with industry.

I currently work as a servant in the Security Ministry. This involves working a section of the church during services and assisting members of other ministries and functions from time to time.

My responsibilities included inventory management, asset management, procurement (equipment & materials), material handling, hazardous waste management, environmental safety. These involved cost management, tracking of items in use and in storage, monitoring par levels and usage as means of generating procurement indices. The purpose was basically to maintain a hitch-free operation considering that some of the items needed were life-supporting on individual and corporate levels. Parallel and horizontal communication between levels of the organization's departments made the supply chain processes successful.

Research focus is on renewable energy in general and solar energy in particular. Research is on-going. Currently researching policy impact on renewable energy with emphasis on solar energy technology adoption.

My doctoral research study was on policy impacts on solar energy development. My focus is still on energy and projects related to energy. Determining what United States Federal government policies impact what aspects of energy projects is part of the curiosity configuration. There are policies that impact the demand side while other policies address issues related to the supply side of energy spectra. This should not be left to conjecture but should be noted in order to guide policy makers and other stakeholders. It is important to make a connection between policies and practices. This brings meaning to energy technology, device development, durability issues, connectivity and emerging issues in large-scale generation.

My main objective was to help each and every member of NNAUSA in North Carolina see himself or herself as part of a whole. I was also open to learn from members what motivates them and to use that knowledge to meet or exceed NNAUSA's corporate goals. We spent time trying to find out what approaches to adopt for any given challenge. We communicated this to the headquarters. The results were noteworthy. Team concept worked for us under my chapter presidency. We leveraged members' skills, experience and competencies to provide consulting services to individuals and organizations. Results were outstanding. Areas included event planning and execution, technical writing, grant writing and management, fund-raising, financial management and other related areas.

Responsibility included quality control of semi-conductors, measurements of silicon wafers, Light Emitting Diodes (LED) manufacturing etc.
