Assist the Head Basketball coach with organizing, conducting practices, motivating students and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques. Instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the basketball. Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the Head Basketball coach. Assess player’s skills, monitors players during competition and practice and keep the Head Basketball coach informed of the athletic performance of students. Assist with determining game strategy. Assist the Head Basketball coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition. Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury. Model sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials and spectators. Maintain the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security. Distribute equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach. Assist the Head Basketball coach with submitting a list of award winners at the end of the season. Participate in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights and pep assemblies. Perform support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards and other related records. Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. Attend staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance. Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Head Basketball Coach, Athletic Director & Principal or other appropriate administrator.

As the Director of Maintenance, I am responsible for the daily operation of the maintenance and housekeeping departments. Utilizing maintenance skills to perform a variety of hands-on tasks including electrical, carpentry, HVAC, general maintenance and housekeeping. Daily interaction with all facility support staff and residents. Establishing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs that will promote a sense of well-being and esthetic appeal for residents and staff. Perform general maintenance work on a daily basis, including replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances. Prepare resident rooms for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets and general maintenance. Maintain and conduct daily inspections of the building exterior grounds. Manage and participate in monthly budget planning of maintenance and housekeeping expenses. Purchasing and inventory management of maintenance, housekeeping, dietary and nursing supplies. Recommend replacement of major items (such as carpet, appliances, etc.) as well as long and short term maintenance needs. Implement preventative maintenance programs and prepare a preventative maintenance reports for Executive Director's review. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors. Transport residents to and from appointments in the using facility vehicles. Demonstrate effective supervisory and leadership skills including employee motivation. Knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations by maintaining the facility in compliance with OSHA, Federal, State and local laws. Possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism. Incorporate new methods into existing maintenance practices.
