About Jeff Arms

Jeff Arms is President of Arecon Data, a critical thinker and data analysis guru, winner of technology patents and Innovator of the Year Award recipient. He has led technology efforts for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Defense and Defense Information Systems Agency and Arecon Data. Jeff has worked with the largest energy services companies in the world to automate their business processes. I'm currently working on applying my knowledge in AI to solve business and quality control problems that will ultimately have a positive environmental impact. Solving more immediate issues within the Oil & Gas industry as our planet transitions to cleaner energy.I'm a mission driven person who never stops learning. Reading and learning is a critical part of each day for me.I started my Arecon Data when I saw a critical need for better quality control in the Oil & Gas industry because of the Deep Horizon oil spill. I chose to leave the Department of Defense with the goal of building a quality management system for the energy industry to prevent further environmental disasters of that type. I have a talent for anything data driven and seeing the hidden relationships between seemingly unconnected elements. Data analytics is a passion that I approach like most people would a game. Deriving personal enjoyment from each problem I solve.I'm driven by helping others achieve their goals. Always helping other people's candles burn brighter as their mentor and teacher. Charity and helping others less fortunate are part of my personal mantra. Giving others the skills, they need to succeed in life. I believe that every individual has the God given right to succeed regardless of where they come from or who they are.In my off time I travel for eco-tourism. Striving every day to do my small part to be a good steward of our planet gives me peace of mind and deeper purpose.

  • Tally Wizard
    Owner/Developer
Tally Wizard Jan 1998 - Present
    United States
Tally Wizard is a provider of Tally Wizard Inventory Management software for use by the used oil field pipe industry. Tally Wizard provides the customer with a easy to use GUI interface that allows relatively untrained pipe yard personnel to manage the complex data storage requirements for oil filed pipe management. The complex business model of adding a third dimension to tracking pipe inventory by length, and weight as well as pieces does not lend itself to standard inventory software. The Complex database systems that are required are not supported by more common inventory management software, and competitor software requires months of training to utilize. My expert query skills allow Tally Wizard to support DBMS backend for Oracle, MSSQL Server, MS Access, and MySQL. Tally Wizard requires less than 2 hours of training to use and the operator only needs basic computer skills, and no real knowledge of the business rules to perform their duties. I attribute the ease of use of this software to my exceptional database design and data access skills. My expert skill with complex data structures and query methods allows Tally Wizard to provide complex data and business rules while providing exceptional performance to the user. I provide database administration and infrastructure design for multiple customers. Providing database backup and recovery and failover solutions that can be managed by non technical personnel.Application and database development of Tally Wizard pipe inventory software including data reporting services. Sales and Operation of Tally Wizard. provide support to oil field pipe companies for their inventory management software. Management of development budgets and milestones. Coordination with customers for data process improvement and complex design requirements. Management of subcontracted developers.
